Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I want to wish a Happy Belated Christmas to all and a very happy new year!

Wade and I have had a great Christmas break and have really been enjoying our time off. One week down, one week to go.... makes us wish that we would could have 3 weeks of vacation time!

I will post some of our Christmas pictures as soon as I have them loaded to the computer. :-)

Oh, and today is Grandma Jean's birthday. Happy Birthday!

Counting down....

to Christmas, and to Christmas Break!!! Only one more week until a break! I can't wait to be finished with this semester. It has gone by fast, but not necessarily fast enough. :-)

I am looking forward to spending Christmas with family and hope to see as many of my family members as possible and I also hope to see many of my friends whom I have not seen in forever! Hope to see everyone over the holidays!

Another first!

Today I had the "opportunity" to dance in front of the school at the pep assembly. Our department (science) and a couple of other teachers decided to put together a little dance performance for assembly. We did dances from the various decades.... we danced to The Beatles "She loves you", "Stayin' alive", "Thriller" (by Michael Jackson), some song by Pearl Jam (I don't know the name) and then "Soulja Boy". It was interesting at the very least just to learn the dances!

The point was to have fun, and let the kids have some fun. They sure screamed and hollered for us! They couldn't get over all of us white girls up there dancing! Overall, we had a great time and the kids sure seemed to love watching us make fools of ourselves! I imagine that we will end up on You Tube, we aren't there yet, but I will add it to this page when we are!

I hope that is all of the dancing we have to do in front of the school for the rest of the year at least! :-)

Year in Review

Tuesday, December 4, 2007

There's a first time for everything...

including blogging. I am a little slow catching on with this particular form of communication. I guess I figured "old fashioned" email and instant messaging was good enough. But I can see where reading these or writing them at odd hours of the day could be useful. I figure no one wants me to call them in the mornings when I am up before dawn, except of course for mom. And I think she figures I make a decent alarm clock, too bad I am missing a snooze button, eh?

I hope that this will be a place that friends and family can catch up on our lives and that they will be willing to share a little of theirs with us. I intend to include Wade in this as much as possible but reality tells me that I will be the number one responsible party for this blog's inherent success or failure.

Here are some pictures from the year, just to catch you up on what we have been up to! We have had a great year and had some fun, and some sad times. But what's most important is that we have had one another and our good friends and family to help us through the rough times and enjoy the good times with us! Thanks!
