James Monroe Visit Scrapblog

Not Tagged, but thought it looked interesting...

My sister-in-law Niki, was tagged by her sister to do this, and so she "tagged" whomever wanted try it out! :) So this tag challenges you to go to My Pictures, to the 4th folder, to the 4th picture and post about it. Here it is: (my set up is a little different so I went to the 4th folder, the 4th folder again, and then the 4th picture)
Beautiful pink roses... from Wade you ask? Nope, not this time... they weren't even mine. They were decoration for Amy's Bridal shower last May. :) I was part of the bridal party. It was a great motivation for me to get to working out and losing weight! I had only lost 15 pounds by the time the wedding came around, but it was still a good thing! Thanks Amy for helping to provide some motivation to get me movin'! :)

Ok... as far as that "tag" was concerned... I liked it. It is a good thing to reminisce about the past... even if you just come up with a random picture of roses! :) So I tag Chelsy, Brooke, Mary, and anyone else who would like to give it a try! Have fun! I did!

OLD SCHOOL Havasupai! :)

Amy and I at Havasu Falls

When my closet came tumbling down a couple of weeks ago it forced me to do some deep cleaning, and in that process I located a CD with pics from my first trip down to Havasupai! :) Had to share at least a couple. I have Amy to thank for dragging me down there, but I am sooooo glad she did! It set in motion my path to meeting Wade! :)

Valentine's Day

We had a great time this weekend! We got lots of things accomplished. Wade and I went to dinner and then to visit our friends. Wade bought me a great Valentine's day gift. A new Dyson vacuum cleaner- it's pink (in honor of breast cancer awareness). I love it! It works so well! Best part is that was on clearance at Target because it is pink. I don't care what color it is, as long as it works! :)

I also decided to decorate my Christmas tree with hearts in honor of valentine's day. It turned out pretty cool looking. Here's a picture:

Domestic disasters

Wade left for a week for a work trip to Germany and while he was gone I had 2 domestic disasters!

Disaster 1: Wednesday night at midnight (or early Thursday morning) an alarm went off in my room. I figured it was the fire alarm. So I proceeded to climb up a chair and replace the battery. But it kept beeping.... so I replaced the battery again, and again... after 3 batteries and no luck. I finally called Wade in Germany. Poor guy. After about 30 minutes of trying to turn it off, removing it from the wall, and hauling it into another room and it was still BEEPING! Finally Wade says- is it the carbon monoxide sensor? I looked and it was... and it quit beeping after I simply unplugged it from the wall... after all of that!! AUGH!

Disaster 2: Saturday evening, about 20 minutes before Wade's plane landed here in Tucson... I heard this loud crash- it nearly scared me to death. As soon as I found the source of the noise I was shocked to see all of the contents of my side of the closet on the floor. The shelf, the rack of clothes- on the floor!! I quickly moved all of my clothes into the guest room. Just in time for Wade to call and say that he was waiting at the airport for me to pick him up.

Lucky for me my hero came home to fix all of my disasters! :) I am so lucky he is willing and able to fix my disasters! Yeah for husbands!
